Dustin Ray Barnes, 38, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born July 30, 1985 in Nash County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela L. Barnes; paternal grandparents, E.J. and Minnie Barnes; maternal grandparents, Harold and Della Brown.

He is surved by his parents, Charles Sr. and Margaret Barnes; son, Dustin R. Barnes, Jr.; daughter, Ava Marie Barnes; brother, Charlie R. Barnes, Jr.; two nephews and a niece.

A service was held June 22, 2024 at Nashville Church of God with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.
