GARNER - Anne Mehle Jones, age 96, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. Born in Nash County on January 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph George Mehle and Katherine Schreiber Mehle. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Katharine Mehle Coons, Rose Mehle Ricks, and Mary Mehle Fitzpatrick; and her brothers, Francis Joseph Mehle, James Joseph Mehle, Paul Joseph "Pete" Mehle Sr., and William Joseph "Bill" Mehle, Sr.

Anne is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Lee Jones, Sr.; daughter, Lee Anne Jones; son, Robert Lee "Bob" Jones, Jr. and wife, Jessica; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 331 Hammond St., Rocky Mount, with Rev. Paul Nicolas Cottrill, V.F. officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.
