James Edward Cole, 76, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was born December 16, 1947 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Sammie and Margie Hix Cole. James was also preceded in death by brother, Walter Cole and sister, Judy Anderson.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Joyner (Wayne); brother, Albert "Frog" Cole (Opal); sister, Jean Edenfield; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be Monday, June 3, 2024 from 6:00-6:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Robert Piper, Jr. and Pastor Oscar Whiteside officiating.
