NASHVILLE - Eddie "Leon" Bone, age 72, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Born in Nash County on June 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Daniel Eddie Bone and Metta Rae Leonard Bone.

Leon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Robin Ann Smith Bone; his sons, Daniel Nelson Bone and wife, Terri (Thompson), of Nashville and William Eddie Bone and wife, Heather (Joyner), of Nashville; five grandchildren; and his sister, Brenda Hagerman and husband, Bob.

A service was held April 28, 2024 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Alfred Tyson, Pastor Steve Webb and Pastor DeAngelo Pittman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Leon's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or NC Fallen Firefighters Foundation, 2501 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.
