Spring Hope - Dennis Bailey, age 77, passed away Friday April 12, 2024. Dennis was born in Wilson County to Mavis Cora Bailey and Jack Bailey on November 1, 1946. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Jackie, Donald, Wayne, and Gerald Bailey; son-in-law, Warren Basco Lewis III; and nephew, Jason Petway.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda Glover Bailey of Spring Hope; sons, Dennis Wayne Bailey and wife, Sandra of Rocky Mount, Christopher Bailey and fiance, Vanessa Moore of Spring Hope; and daughter, Shannon Lewis of Middlesex; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild due October, 2024; his brother, Danny Ray Bailey of Battleboro; sister, Ann Petway and husband, Randall of Wilson; sisters-in-law, Joyce Bailey of Whitakers, Ellen Bailey, and Phyllis Glover of Rocky Mount, and Sandra Bailey of Nashville, along with multiple nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

A service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 17th, at NorthSide Church,1660 Beaver Pond Dr Rocky Mount. Burial will follow at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens on Webbs Mill Road, Spring Hope. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m. and other times at the home.
