ROCKY MOUNT - William "Bill" Benjamin Adkins III, age 77, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024. Born in Nash County on April 8, 1947. He was the son of the late William Benjamin "Ben" Adkins Jr. and Curtis Mae Hull-Grimes.

Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Eason Adkins; his daughters Deanna House (Robbie) of Rocky Mount, Tina Hedgepeth (Scott) of Rocky Mount, his son Christopher Miller of Clearfield, PA.; three grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Joyner of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews; and soon to be first great grandson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Elder Johnny Gardner and Pastor Daniel Parker officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, April 17,2024 from 6-8 p.m. in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
