ROCKY MOUNT - Charles Michael Hinton, age 67, passed away March 17, 2024. Mike was born in Nash County on April 24, 1956 to Charles "Speight" and Faye McMichael Hinton on April 24, 1956. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Juliette C. Howard.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Peggy Hinton; daughter, Dawn B. Lee (Jason) and son, Phillip W. Briley Jr. (Kristy); brother, Norman Bruce Hinton; special aunt, Florence Horton; sisters-in-law; 4 grandchildren.

A graveside service was held March 19, 2024 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Tarboro.
