NASHVILLE - Alvis Clay Lynch, 58, died Monday, January 19, 2009. Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial followed the service at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.

Surviving: mother, Tiney S. Lynch, of Nashville; sisters, Elaine Avent, of Washington, D.C., Joyce Avent and Evelyn Brandt, both of Rocky Mount, Geraldine Thorne, of Oxon Hill, Md., and Carolyn Lynch, of Zebulon.

Visitation was at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, January 23 from 3 - 8 p.m.
