HOLLISTER - James Mark “Punkin” Rudd, 80, died Saturday, January 17, 2009.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at Pine Chapel Baptist Church with Minister Deral Hedgepeth officiating. Burial followed at the Lynch family cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Lillie Pearl Rudd of the home; daughters, Carrie Rudd Sweatt of Greenville, Paulette R. Harris and Saprina R. Ingram, both of Rocky Mount; step-daughter, Gaynelle L. Richardson, of Newport News, Va; son, James R. Rudd, of Hollister; a grandson raised as a son, Jason M. Rudd, of the home; sister, Lena Mae Rudd, of Hollister; 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

Wake services were held at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg on Friday, Jan. 23 from 7 - 8 p.m.
