ROCKY MOUNT - Melvin Jobe Warner, Jr. passed away Friday, February 16th.

Born May 30th, 1942, Joe was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joshua L. and Mary Thorpe Horne, paternal grandparents, George Francis and Mabel Preston Warner, and his parents, Melvin (Mel) Jobe Warner Sr. and Mary Louise Warner.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Nancy Henley Warner; brothers Michael and Larry; sons Matthew and Scott; one grandson.

A service will be held February 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, Rocky Mount with Dr. Jody Wright and Rev. Elizabeth Edwards officiating. Visitation will follow the service in Sugg Foyer of the Kincheloe Building.

A family burial of cremains will take place at Pineview Cemetery.
