ROCKY MOUNT - Glenn Wayne Phillips, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. Born in Halifax County on August 28, 1940, he was the son of the late George Harrell Phillips and Modie Clee Daniels Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his brother, George "Darrell" Phillips; and his sister, Judith Faye Phillips Hyman.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sarita Blackley Phillips; his daughter, Gina Phillips (Chip); his sons, Jason Phillips (Shannon), Jonathan Phillips (Jennipher), and Josh Phillips (Ashley); 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Janet Wilhalf; nephews and great-nephews.

A service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount, with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
