CASTALIA - Ronnie Lee Cockrell, 74, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was born on January 22, 1949 in Nash County to the late George Earnest Cockrell and Mildred Harris Cockrell.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Lisa Sullivan of Castalia; daughter Shannon C. Joyner (Jeff); one grandchild; sister Georgia Hunt of Laurinburg.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Viola Bowen.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
