Russell Wilson Denton, 60, passed away October 30, 2023. He was born November 19, 1962 in Wake County to the late Hettie Cooke. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father Paul Cooke; son Derek Russell Denton; brother Roy Denton.

Russell is survived by his wife of 37 years Sherry Carlyle Denton; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Daniel Moss and Rev. Steve Massey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.
