ROCKY MOUNT - Kenneth Wayne Whitley "Pete", age 69, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023.Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother George Barnes. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on May 3, 1954. He was the son of the late Romell Whitley.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 49; years, Patricia Lucas Whitley; his daughters, Dawn Sherrod of Nashville, Cindy Whitley, of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother Tommy Whitley.

A service will be held on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Johnsons Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating.
