Irma Jean Mills Fisher, 77, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. She was born July 6, 1946 in Halifax County to the late Walter and Magnolia Richardson Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted L. Fisher; brothers, Leonard and Joe Edward, and special friend, Henry L. Watson.

She is survived by three daughters, Joan Evans (Alfred), Shirley Batchelor (Russell), and Litonya Carter (Christopher); three brothers, Edward C. Mills, Ronnie Mills, and Nawathia Mills (Lisa); four sisters, Annie L. Richardson (Ray), Ella Viverette (William), Diane Richardson (Edward), and Leslie Richardson (Roger); eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Mills Family Cemetery.
