David Edward Braswell, 86, passed away, Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was born October 22, 1936 in Nash County to the late Clarence and Betty Edwards Braswell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Braswell; brother, Bobby Braswell; grandchildren, Kelly Braswell and Joshua House; step-son, Donald Thomas Bryan, Jr., step-grandchild, Anna Elizabeth Moss.

He is survived by three sons, Chuck (Glenda), Gary (Debbie), and Scott (Brenda) Braswell; two daughters, Penny Barbour (Dana) and Lisa Breheim (Jimmy); step-children, Maribeth Bryan McKinnon, JoAnna Bryan Robbins; one brother, Warren Braswell; one sister, Annie Laura Brantley; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren,

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 11a.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating. Entombment will be Monday, September 18, 2023 at 1p.m. in Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.
