ROCKY MOUNT - Richard "Ted" Flood, age 58, passed away August 22, 2023. He was born on February 10, 1965 in Nash County to Solomon and Gladys Flood, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Denise F. Flood; son, Richard Flood, Jr. and wife, Amelia of Rocky Mount; siblings, Elaine Taylor of Rocky Mount, Buddy Flood of Nashville, Janet Walters and husband, Andy of Elm City, Donald Flood and wife, Dale of Rocky Mount and Lisa Webb and husband, Steve of Elm City; many nieces and nephews; five grandchildren.

A service was held August 26, 2023 at Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, Rocky Mount. Burial followed at Williams Family Cemetery, Rocky Mount.
