ROCKY MOUNT - James Arthur "Jimmy" Wiliams, age 88, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Born in Nash County on September 25, 1934, he was the son of the late William Darrell Williams and Lucy Florence Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Eulene Williams; his brother, William Darrell Williams, Jr.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Jamie Ethridge and her fiancé, Ken Oliver of Battleboro; his son, Jim Williams and his wife, Wendy of Wilmington; one grandchild; Hudson; one niece; one nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Dennis Gregory and Rev. Darrell Williams officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
