ROCKY MOUNT - Charles Edward "Mutt" Wilson, age 72, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Born in Wake County on April 20, 1951, he was the son of the late John Franklin "Frank" Wilson and Mary Wandalee Wilson Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Alice Poland Wilson.

Mutt is survived by his daughters, Alyson Wilson Girouard and husband, Mike, and Kimberly Wilson Lloyd and husband, Peter; three granddaughters; and his brother, John "Jeff" F. Wilson, Jr. and wife, Annie.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Dr. David Joyner officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

A private burial will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
