DORTCHES - Nanette "Nan" Webb Brown, age 65, passed away July 22, 2023. Born in Edgecombe County on August 29, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Marvin "Buster" Webb and Dorothy "Dot" Jean Phillips Webb.

Nan is survived by her husband of 48 years, Berry R. "Bob" Brown of Dortches; her son, Philip Brown and wife, Nickie, of Dortches; her daughter, Robin Brown of Wendell; one grandchild; her brothers, Johnnie Webb and Dudley Webb and wife, Bridget; her sister, Leigh Moore and husband, John; sister-in-law, Dorothy Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Chet Rains officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
