ROCKY MOUNT - Linda Gail Rose Wells, age 65, passed away July 13, 2023. Born in Nash County on July 9, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Romie Vernon Rose and Betty Ray "Mema" Denton Rose. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Charles Rose.

Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Louis "Bobby" Wells, Jr.; her sons, Jason Paul Wells and wife, Jamie, Phillip Andrew Wells, and Mark Allan Wells; her daughter, Dana Wells Harrell and husband, Jonathan; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sister-in-law, Debi Rose Webb; and two nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mountwith Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Edgecombe Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
