ROCKY MOUNT - Margie King Lewis, age 92, passed away July 8, 2023. Born in Nash County on May 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Allen King and Annie Howell King. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charlie Richard Lewis; one of her grandchildren; and her 11 siblings.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Lewis Webb and husband, Norman, and Phyllis Lewis Lamm and husband, Kenneth; her son, William "Bill" David Lewis; her seven grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren; her great great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
