Gary Lee Land, 64, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023. He was born January 20, 1959 in Nash County to the late Charlie Ray Land and Margaret Leggette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Norman Jean Joyner Land.

He is survived by his son, Danny Ray Land; step-father, Craig Kent Leggett; daughters, Amy Michelle Lee, Melissa Ann Land, and Rhea Faye Pitts; brothers, Timothy Wayne Land (Claire), Mark S. Land (Pam), and John A. Lindsey (Jennifer); sisters, Darlene Rae Williams (Larry) and Margaret O. Sharpe (Scott); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11a.m. at Joyner Family Cemetery 3100 South Church Street, Rocky Mount with Pastor Ron Ryson officiating.
