NASHVILLE- Irene H. Hinton, 73, died Monday, August 28, 2006. She was born on August 8, 1933 in Nash County, preceded in death by her parents Ransom Horner and Eula Stallings Horner, along with her husband Earl Hinton.

She is survived by her daughters, Allyson Hinton of New Bern and Jan Hinton of Winston Salem; sister Blonnie Poland of Sandy Cross.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville with Rev. Bill Wallace and Rev. Frankie Carroll officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 29, 2006.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Irene H. Hinton, Parkview Nurses Alumni Scholarship Fund, 311 Amherst Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
