NASHVILLE - John Rufus Shambley, 57, passed away Friday, December 19, 2008. The funeral service was on Monday, Dec. 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas McCullers officiating. Burial followed in the Shambley Family Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Rufus Shambley, Jr.

Surviving: wife, Linda Mills Shambley; and daughters, Whitney Shambley and Porsha Shambley, all of the home; sister, Lillian Sinclair, of Castalia; brother, Alfred Shambley, of Nashville.

Visitation was from 3 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21 at Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
