Lester Gregory Best, 66, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born September 17, 1956 in Nash County. He was preceded in death by parents Harry and Retha Peeden; his brother T.W. Best and brother-in-law, Paul Viverette.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah Osbourne Best; daughters, Ashley Best Earp and Brandi Nicole Best; sister, Deborah Best Richards (Jim) and Cheryl Viverette; four grandchildren, .

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00-2:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 3p.m. in the Chapel. Entombment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Chapel of Memories.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one's choice.
