ROCKY MOUNT - Ethel "Mae" Wood Price, age 95, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Born in Centerville County on March 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John Newton Wood and Lula Crowder Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Price, Jr. "Waffle Lite" "Jimbo Price"; her brothers, Lonnie Wood, Charles B. "C.B." Wood, and Clyde Wood; and her sisters, Frances Smith and Irene Peters.

Mae is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor John Scott officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
