GREENSBORO- Edna Joyner passed away on March 17, 2023. She was 97 years old.

Edna was born on October 9, 1925 in Nash County to the late Zack and Effie King. Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jesse Mason Joyner; her brothers, Vernon and Clilfton King; sisters Marie Matus, Viola Hall, Ruby Lee Griffin, and Myrtle Bass.

Edna is survived by her sons, Danny (Leila) of Greensboro and Alex Joyner of Pleasant Garden; sisters Lois Jean (Howard) Hudnell and Mavis (Charlie) Armstrong of Rocky Mount; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on March 21, 2023 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with the Reverend Danny Joyner officiating.
