NASHVILLE - Dorothy Jean Outlaw, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Jean was the daughter of William Louis Moss and Dorothy Patterson Moss. Born April 21, 1941, in Virginia, Jean lived her adult life in Rocky Mount.

Jean is survived by her brothers Joe Moss (Patricia) and Jack Moss (Faye); her sisters-in-law, Joy Moss and Debbie Moss; daughter-in-law, Debbie Outlaw; stepchildren, Wayne Outlaw (Sharon), Bunnie Liles (Bobby), and Vickie Heschl (Gary); 10 grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Phil, Bill, and Johnny Moss, her husband, Buddy Outlaw, and her two sons, Danny and Mark Outlaw.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 2 p.m. at West Mount Emmanuel Holiness Church, 1305 Old Mill Rd, Rocky Mount. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park immediately after.
