NASHVILLE - Rebecca Dickson "Becky" Godwin, age 70, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 Born in Leavenworth County, KS on May 13, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Col. Dwight B. Dickson and Myra Green Dickson. She was also preceded in death by her son John Godwin and her brother Berry Dickson.

Becky is survived by her husband of 52 years, Howard Godwin; her son, Robert, "Bobby" Godwin and his wife, Anne of Aventon; five grandchildren; her brother Col. Bennett Dickson of Kansas; her sister Susan Brown of Reidsville.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
