Sarah "Daphine" Privette Pridgen, age 95, passed away on Friday February 17, 2023. Born in Franklin County, NC on October 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Alonza Privette and Lola Gertrude Layton Privette. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Elma Lee Pridgen; her sons, Timothy Lee Pridgen, Anthony Miles Pridgen, and Barry Elmer Pridgen; her brothers, Burwell Privette, Willie Privette, Randolph Privette, Rayford Privette and Lonnie Privette; her sisters, Lynn Hall and Sally Hall; and her brother-in-law, Alton Hall.

Daphine is survived by her son, Linny Dale Pridgen; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Vickie Alford Pridgen; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday February 21, 2023, at North Rocky Mount Church of God, 2413 Goldrock Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with the Pastor Jerome Mozingo officiating.

A Committal Service took place on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
