ROCKY MOUNT - Dwight W. Stevens, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Born in Somerset, KY on September 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Gorman Stevens and Bortha New Stevens. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Stevens and Eddie Stevens.

Dwight is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shelby McClenny Stevens; his daughters, Tammy Barrile (Bryan), Michelle Grissom (Cory), and Velvet "Dawn" Bradshaw; his son, Michael Stevens; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 30, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family was prior to the service in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Military honors.
