Geraldine Carroll Patterson, 78, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born August 7, 1944 in Halifax County to the late Robert Carroll and Addie Mae Carroll Gupton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, James Linwood Joyner Sr.; her brother Sterling Carroll; her late husband Jessie Ward Harris and the love of her life Jimmy Kelly.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Richardson (Billie) and Pat Bunch (Jerry); daughter-in-law, Kelly Joyner; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 12 until 1:15pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Donnie Wayne Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.
