ROCKY MOUNT - Barbara Ann Jordan Moss, age 86, passed awat on Thursday, January 19, 2023. One of ten children, she was born in Wilson County on June 24, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Theophilus Jordan and Lena Alma Baker Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 33 years, Alton Cecil Moss Sr.; her stepdaughter, Loulynne Griffin; her sisters, Perline Landen, Juanita Landin, Velma Kemp, Edith Gardner, Mittie Gorham, Littie Capps, and Bernice Everette; and her brothers, Otha Jordan and Kenneth Jordan.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Lee Williams Jr. and wife, Jan, and Scott Williams and wife, Cindy; her daughter, Gina Allen and husband, Denny; her stepdaughter Kim Jernigan and husband, Chris; 14 grandchildrenl and 19 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Steve Webb officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family received friends and relatives on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
