George Duffy Howell, 77, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born December 19, 1945 in Nash County to the late Ralph and Iva Mae Howell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Howell and brother-in-law Pete Gupton.

He is survived by his wife Theresa B. Howell; sons George Howell Jr. ( Lisa) and Matthew T. Howell; brothers Daniel (Mae), Billy (Mary Ann), and Ralph Howell (Ann); sisters Edith Gupton and Evelyn Price; one step-grandson; one nephew.

A visitation for family and friends will be Monday, January 2, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
