ROCKY MOUNT - John Dewey "JD" Langley, Jr., age 91, passed November 1, 2022. Born in Nash County on December 8, 1930, he was the son of the late John Dewey Langley, Sr. and Etta Wallace Langley. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Langley Stewart and Myrtle Langley Gulley.

JD is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean Pullen Langley; his daughter, Ashley Smith and husband Rob; thre grandchildren; his sisters, Carolyn Langley Wells and Dorothy Langley Rainey.

Visitation will be held at the home on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 4-6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in JD's memory to the Braswell Memorial Library, 727 N. Grace Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
