Elaine Kay Skinner, 74, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022. She was born October 17, 1947 in Gaston County to the late Charles and Pauline Christopher Cruber. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents J.E. and Bell Christopher.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Jimmy Skinner; son Scott Lanier; daughters Lisa Carter (Jim), Kim Root (Dollard), and Katie Manson (Jon); brother Ricky Carter; six grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 2:00-2:45 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
