Bettie Strickland Williams, 74, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022. She was born March 28, 1948 in Nash County to the late E. Lee and Hazel Taylor Strickland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Jerry Wayne Wilkins; brother Roy Lee Strickland; three sisters Alice Joyner, Eula McCaskill, and Baby Strickland.

She is survived by her husband Walter Williams; daughter Ginger Kay Wilkins; three brothers W. O. Strickland, Bill "C.W." Strickland (Shirley), and Joseph Strickland; two sisters Ida Joyner and Bertha Hobgood.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
