SPRING HOPE - Floyd Earl Winstead, 88, of Spring Hope, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022. He was born June 26, 1934 in Halifax County to the late Raymond and Minnie Gardner Winstead. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Richard, Jimmy, Don, Cecil, and Pete; a sister Francis Morris.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Winstead; two sons Jerry Winstead (Theresa) and Terry Winstead (April); two daughters Kathy York (Kendell) and Sheila Whitley; brother Terry Winstead of Oregon; sister Barbara Ball; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery of Spring Hope.
