William David Joyner, 88, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022. He was born October 24, 1933 in Nash County to the late Frank and Daisey Cockrell Joyner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Doris Joyner; three sons David Vincent Joyner (Tanya), William Russell Joyner (Denise), and Phillip Ray Joyner (Lori); one daughter Betty Jo Taylor (Ted); two brothers Frank Junior Joyner and Jimmy Ray Joyner; one sister Lynette Joyner Cockrell; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

A funeral service was held August 29, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
