RED OAK - Faye Wiggins Varnell passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022. She was born in Edgecombe County on August 26, 1942 to Roy and Nettie Adams Wiggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and best friend, Paul Varnell; and brothers, Jack, Alton, and Jesse Wiggins.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte V. Beck and Paula V. Walker (Tim) of Rocky Mount; brothers, Leroy Wiggins of Franklin, TN and Marvin Wiggins of Winterville; sisters, Louise Chauncey of Elizabeth City, Laura Smith of Pinetops, Joyce Wiggins of Grimesland, Doris Tyer (Billy) of Washington, and Jean Mills (Ted) of Winterville; sister-in-law, Charlotte Wiggins of Raleighthree grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held August 14, 2022 at the Varnell Family Cemetery, Macclesfield.
