SPRING HOPE - Portia Anderson Mingia, age 59, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Rocky Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Strickland Family Cemetery in Spring Hope. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope.

She is survived by her sons, Marquay Sentel Mingia and Darian Jordan "DJ" Mingia of Spring Hope and Julian Mingia (Janae) of Whitsett, NC and their father, AW Mingia of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; her mother, Geraldine Anderson of Spring Hope; sisters, Pamela Grady (Willie) of Spring Hope, Renee Richardson (Jerome) of Nashville, Kimberly Ware and Belinda Boose of Spring Hope, Levonder Wiggins (Shelton) of Rocky Mount; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
