ROCKY MOUNT - Billy Lawrence Eatmon, age 88, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Born in Nash County on April 9, 1934, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Eatmon and Nannie Crusenberry Eatmon. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Richard Eatmon; and his sister, Jean Smith.

Billy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Logan Eatmon; his sons, Jeff Eatmon and wife, Joy, of Rocky Mount and Justin Eatmon and wife, Jessica, of Cary; his daughter, Gina Rayman of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Shirley Farmer and Carolyn Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
