Donald Ray Barnes, Sr. passed away June 21, 2022. He was born October 12, 1936 to the late Julius and Laura Davis Barnes. He was preceded in death by sister Leona Barnes Joyner, brothers John D., Linwood, William and Hubert Barnes.

Donald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Campbell Barnes, Son, Donald "Donnie" Ray Barnes, Jr. and wife Cindy, two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held June 25, 2022 at Englewood United Methodist Church, Rocky Mount. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville.
