ROCKY MOUNT - Ella F. Batchelor, age 68, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022. Born in Nash County on March 18, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Batchelor and Florine O. Batchelor.

Surviving relatives include: life partner, James Johnson; one daughter, Lechanda Batchelor Silver, of Wendell; one son, Maurice Johnson of the home; three grandchildren; one sister, Marion Batchelor Umstead; two brothers, Menthilliam Batchelor, of Rocky Mount, and Lester "Jack" Batchelor, of Goldsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial followed the service at The Gardens of Gethsemane.
