Jesse Ray King, age 82, passed away June 25, 2022. He was born December 1, 1939 in Halifax County to the late Jesse James and Agnes Mae Knight King.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Marks King; daughter, Lynn King Bulluck and fiancé, Ed Putnam; brothers, Marvin "Red" King, Jimmy King (Carolyn), Perry King; sisters, Julie Owens (Billy), Garlinda Kato, Connie Myers; one grandchild; one soon to be great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Battleboro Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
