William "Billy" David Strickland, 51, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022. He was born July 2, 1970 in Edgecombe County. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Lester "Pete" and Mamie Ruth Taylor; paternal grandfather, Armie Frank Strickland; mother, Joyce Taylor Robbins; his Aunt Iver "Tootsie" Taylor and his son William Alex Strickland.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Pat Strickland; step-children, Sharon Warren Kennedy and Scott Warren; father, Dr. Jim Strickland; brothers, Jim Strickland, Douglas Robbins (Machelle), and Jeff Strickland (Amy); two aunts; two grandchildren.

A visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow in the Chapel at 6:00 pm.
