ROCKY MOUNT - Gid Arthur "GA" Morris, Jr., age 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Born in Nash County on January 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Gid Arthur Morris, Sr. and Jewell Elizabeth Etheridge Morris. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Osborne Morris; and his sister, Erma Morris Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Ellen Pate Morris; his son, David Morris and wife, C.B. of Rocky Mount; his daughter, Susan Morris Spann of Katy, TX; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
