BATTLEBORO - Frances Batts Davis, age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Born in Nash County on May 15, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Batts and Flossie Mae Womble Batts. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William "Bill" V. Davis; her sister, Jean Winstead.

Frances is survived by her sons, Dale Davis of Elm City, Darryl Davis and wife, Julie, of Rocky Mount, Dwight Davis and wife, Tammy, of Battleboro, and David Davis and wife, Donna, of Nashville; her daughter, Regina Davis Purvis and husband, Phil, of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren;2 great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
