PRING HOPE - James C. McCalston, age 77, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Spring Hope. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at William Toney's Funeral Home, Spring Hope.

He is survived by his daughters, Tracy McCalston of Wilson, Annette McCalston of Spring Hope, Yvette Whitley of Nashville and Jamie McCalston of Wendell; (one daughter, Kathy McCalston-Strickland preceded her in death); 23 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Hinnant, Marie Hinnant, Ruth Tucker and Brenda Farmer all of Spring Hope, Annie Harris of Nashville; brothers, John McCalston of Spring Hope, Otis McCalston of Raleigh and Jim Brinkley of Nashville, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
